MyTelecomGuru – MyTelecomGuru was conceived with an idea to empower the consumer (business and residential) by providing answers to their telecom questions so they can make better and more informed decisions. We have found that consumers, all alike, have very similar questions about their phone bills, services, contract issues, rate changes, fees, taxes, surcharges, and much much more. Mytelecomguru carries on a, 15-year, tradition from Turner Telecommunications, Inc. (Turner) to advocate for telecom consumers by unbiasedly representing their best interests and providing cost-effective solutions. As a guru to this website, Turner will make their knowledge accessible to everyone.

This site is intended to be “The Ultimate Telecom Resource” by providing solutions in terminology that 99% of the general population will understand. If for whatever reason, one of our Guru’s puts a word out there you don’t understand it, please ask the Guru to “clarify it for everyone.”

Currently, this site is in it’s infancy. We appreciate your support by subscribing to our RSS feed, purchasing any of our products from our Products Page, and/or joining our membership. Membership will be free for the first two months and then be evaluated to determine if an annual membership fee is necessary. Membership includes full access to the Forum where unbiased answers will be provided to everyone’s telecom questions. The Forum is available to search questions and answers from other people. Additionally, a recurring newsletter featuring hot topics from the Blog and Forum will be sent to members so they are made aware of answers to common and frequent problems.

Sure, you can get “some” of this information from public agencies like the FCC, FTC, or your state’s Public Service Commission. Just like an attorney represents you in a court of law or a doctor administers medical attention, MyTelecomGuru is here to represent you in all aspects of telecom with tools and “How to Docs” that teach you step by step what you need to be aware of. The public agencies “regulate” the telecommunications industry by setting guidelines and allowing the consumer an outlet to file a complaint. But, what can you do before you get to that point of having to file a complaint? MyTelecomGuru is the missing link between the consumer and regulating authorities.

Throughout our experience, we’ve come across IT/Telecom people who are either trained and very skilled or IT/Telecom people who have “inherited” their position and have had to learn telecom the hard way from experience in order to keep their business communicating. We have also noticed a disconnect between IT/Telecom and Accounting (Accounts Payable). Accounting trusts that once IT/Telecom approves the invoice to be paid, the costs are approved. Accounting has no idea what’s the best rate for the service and IT/Telecom just wants to make sure the invoice is paid too keep the services working.
